Who I am

From the Earth to the Cloud

My childhood was dominated by violence, two boarding schools and finding my passion.

My adult journey began in the structured, high-stakes world of military leadership. Trained at the prestigious Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst and after a gruelling year, emerged as a newly commissioned officer into The Royal Regiment of Artillery.

Aside from the high level of physical fitness and skills in leadership, problem-solving, communication, teamwork and resiliience, i became baptised with the values of discipline, loyalty and decisiveness under pressure. As an officer who served in many dioverse role and countries, I gained a deep insight into the good, the bad and the ugly of human behaviour, operational planning and team dynamics, in environments where the margin for error is razor-thin.

The intensity and depth of my military experience are indelibly tattooed into the essence of my being. It continues to dominate how I lead teams today – with clarity, calmness under pressure and a relentless drive for all to succeed.

After leaving the military, I translated those leadership lessons into the world of business and technology. Over the past 25 years, I’ve led multinational IT operations, scaled digital initiatives and helped organisations navigate the fog of transformation – not as a management consultant passing through, but as a hands-on, accountable delivery executive.

My roles have spanned the private and public sectors. From leading the Commercial Strategy at Alshaya International through the horrific troubles in the Middle East in 2023, steering retail operations across the region under immense geo-political pressure, to Chief Portfolio Officer at Capita, where I oversaw many mission-critical programmes across the UK emergency services sector and internationally. In addition, as a Delivery Director at Fujitsu, I managed large-scale change programmes for the UK government and corporate clients alike.
